Huffington Post and Sasquatch must be true.  They talk about both in the same post.

Besides, I just gave Sasquatch shoe advice in the Gear forum

Yeah.  Hi-definition "blurry" video isn't really any better than lo-def "blurry" video.  And I have to agree with the guy in the HufPost video... if they had daytime video of bigfoot sleeping, shot with a zoom lens through a bunch of branches (where you can only see a small patch of fur and something appearing to breath), why not wake it up?  I mean really, if you want to prove so badly that it exists, go over there, toss a stick on it, wake it up, and tape what it does.  Perhaps they didn't think of that.

Meh.

I'm curious if anyone of you could articulate/substantiate any rationality for your apparent contempt/ridicule of the Huffington Post? Or is it going to be the same old "liberal media" garbage despite the fact the majority of news outlets in this country and around the world are owned by conservative interests?

I'm with Blue. You find Bigfoot you CONFIRM IT beyond any reasonable doubts, of which there are many here.

Apparently the rationality challenged portion of their audience was bored with the government shutdown news, they needed something to spark an interest, neh?

What a country!

One cryptozoologist was once quoted as saying something like "Killing one would be the best thing for them because a body would prove beyond a doubt that they do exist.".
My first thought on hearing that was "that's terrible!". My second was "That's terrible but unfortunately true". Producing a body really would be indisputable proof.

Well, you might shoot, but you won't be hitting.  Supernatural, mythical creatures are very difficult to hit, like Xmen.  heh

Bigfoot is making a big stink on the Internet this week.

First, a crack team of veterinarians and scientists regurgitated a press release claiming that they had DNA evidence of Bigfoot's existence. That "evidence" was and likely still is bogus.

But are these photos real?
Pennsylvania hiker John Stoneman says he was driving his car through Kinzua State Park when he noticed not one, but two hulking creatures lurking in the woods. He slowed down and took the photographs, which do indeed appear to show at least one giant apelike creature behind some trees.

He told the HNGN, "I'm a skeptic myself. I'm not a believer, but this was not a bear and you can see fur on it ... It's wider at the shoulders and tapers down whereas a bear is bigger in the middle and stands differently with its paws out -- this was standing like a man, like a Bigfoot."

The 57-year-old noted that black bears in the area are much smaller than the apparent creature he captured in pictures two weeks ago. The photos haven't been verified, but Stoneman says he's never seen anything like the creature before.

'Squatch sightings are a lot more common on the East Coast than you might think. Josh Stevens, a doctoral candidate at Pennsylvania State University, released a map last month that shows 92 years of Sasquatch sightings (see that map here). The map shows that in densely populated, wooded areas of the U.S., all have their fair share of Bigfoot sightings, including rural Pennsylvania.

What do you think of Stoneman's photos?

Hiker John Stoneman says he caught two Bigfoots -- or at least two massive creatures -- on camera in Pennsylvania several weeks ago. A tipster tells HuffPost Weird News that either Stoneman was lying, or he didn't know that what he actually caught was a tree stump.

And he claims he has the photos to prove it.

On Thursday, the anonymous tipster sent a photo of what appeared to be the same, hulking figure that Stoneman caught on camera, but from a different angle.

"It was a scam," the tipster said, claiming that what we're seeing in the photo is a tree stump that's been uprooted by well drillers.

Once I yelled at  a tree stump because I thought it was a bear.  When it still didn't move after all the noise I made, I sheepishly realized that it would never back off.  I should have known it was Bigfoot.
