We rescued this cute dog and named her Molly :)  In my area of the forest many unwanted dogs are dumped, I'd say at least twice/month we have to call animal control. It's hard to be an animal lover and not want to rescue them all. We used to have an employee who rescued the dumped dogs and tried to re-home them. Unfortunately he lost many of his dogs in the Sheep Fire in '09. Anyway, one of our rec techs found Molly two weeks ago and she immediately won me over with her sweet nature. The first time I saw her she rolled over on her back and wanted me to rub her belly. I brought her home on the premise that if she didn't get along with the cats or the baby then she wouldn't stay. But she loves them and everybody she meets. She's about a year old and is very affectionate. She being some mixture of cattle dog has the instinct to herd and protect our cats and us. She's gentle with the baby. She doesn't bark, which makes my Mom and Dad happy. She wasn't fond of her collar or a leash but is food motivated so easy to train. Today we went on our first walks around our neighborhood.  Hope to take her out hiking soon!

My goofy hound is a dumped puppy I found in a state park.

They make the BEST family members.  Every little boy needs a dog.  Looks like Molly found her little boy.  :)

Sweet! we are looking for another dog (younger) to keep our Sadie Mae occupied and in shape.  Rudy is just so old now. He's only good for about 2 minutes play and less than a quarter mile for a walk.  Many pnw'ers have hiked with Rudy, he probably has well over 500 miles on his legs in 13 years.  Maybe even more.
