Every passing year, this little community has its share of deaths, births, accidents, and wonderful times spent in the wild.  I would hope for nothing less.  We could do with a few less deaths, of the forum-ites, their families, and their pets.  Still, such is to be expected in any community, and ours is no different.

I wish all my neighbors here a Happy New Year, and may good fortune smile down upon you.

Yep, the year is off to a good start. I'm still alive, got in a nice walk, talked with family, and just made a batch of good hot chili!

Life is good.

The year is off to a good start. I got to sweep snow off the porches and steps, clean snow off a van and a jeep, and shovel the walk. Then my son and daughter in law came and we drank beer, ate saurkraut, mashed taters and black eyed peas. Followed by watching more football.
I hope all the folks in our community here have a great adventureous new year.
Zeke, nice win for Louisville.

A very happy 2014 to all of you. Gideon is in his crib, chewing on his little hand because at 3 months and change, he's teething. Seven year old Becky is angry that school starts back tomorrow and I feel similarly about going back to work after being off since the 22nd. In short, my little family is doing exactly what little families do and I am Blessed.
