So here's a critter that I found late saturday in the middle of the AT. She couldn't have been very happy given that the temperature was already at about 40F and rapidly heading to the mid30s.

I've never seen anything quite like her, anybody know what she is?

Looks like you identified her! A Marbled Orb Weaver.

Never seen one before which is surprising given how I saw her from about 20 feet away. But her contrast against the ground was something else.
