For anyone who lives in or around Kentucky.  I had a friend tell me this weekend they saw about two dozen... yes... two dozen American Bald Eagles near Land Between the Lakes on the KY/TN border.  Said the eagles come down from Michigan where the lakes are frozen and fish around here since it is milder.

I always liked hiking LBL in the winter for the bald eagles and the other wildlife in the area. Add to it the bison and deer and makes for some great wildlife. A great place to spend the weekend for sure.

Lots of em at Lake Monroe near Bloomington, IN.  I did a Christmas Bird County this past December and my part counted 15 altogether.  Even when they become a common sight they're still incredible to watch.

At another location in Indiana I saw ten in the air once . . . amazing spectacle.
