I am a side sleeper. I need something to brace under me other than a  backpack that is light, cheap, and relatively comfortable.
I was thinking of a child inflatable pool float.  It is light, easy to use, and I can fold it and slip it in my Black Pine Bag for side support.  Any other ideas?  New to the Forums, Thanks...MarKP

Where are you intending to use this brace?  As a side sleeper myself, sometimes I need something between my knees.  Anything helps me there, even a T shirt folded up.  For under my head, I use various things for pillows, with little success.  Best so far is my set of thermals if I am not wearing them to bed.

I'm another who needs a bit of pillow between my knees.  I got a pair of cheap inflatable waterwings, cut carefully to make one into a long double tube (instead of a loop), and use that if I won't have any spare clothes.  Best if I'm wearing long underwear, as the plastic is pretty nasty right next to the skin.

Is that the kind of thing you're looking for?  Or do you need a body pillow?

That's brilliant. I've been struggling to find something I could compress down so I'll have to try this.

You could also slip it into a fleece hat, or a stuff sack you aren't using at the moment.
