First post ever to this forum.  Not sure if anyone would be interested in reading this long blog - or just have a look at the pictures.

FYI - I sincerely would appreciate any comments anyone has. I get no money to put this info on the blog, so I don't need the hits.

Interesting read and some good photos. I'm impressed that you persevered and finally achieved your goal on the third attempt.

I can definitely relate to the "three attempts to make it" kind of trip.  It reminds me of a little goal I had of my own awhile back.

Anyway, thanks for sharing! :)

GoBlueHiker, I enjoyed your web site too.  Pity about the SPOT mixup, but hey, what can ya do?

By the way, I really liked this:

"I've known for many years the way wilderness can heal a man, but not until now did I realize the depth of that power."

Excellent. John Muir would be pleased.

I'm only through Chapter One but plan on coming back here over the weekend.

What can I say but Awesome!

I had a bit of a psychological struggle coming back to Wyoming more full time [6.5 months a year] about 15 years ago because as a boy it was incredibly rare to come across a Grizzly. Carried Bear Spray for 13 years before I finally "had" to use it last summer.

Thanks for sharing!
