Hello!

Im looking for some winter camping spots in Eastern Canada for this winter. Ideally, a place with some sort of shelter other than a tent (a yurt would be great!), that we could ski out of and spend the day skiing / snowshoeing.

Shelter aside (motels work fine, so do tents - we're flexible), where are there beautiful skiing destinations in Quebec / eastern Canada?

Thanks!

Ontario Provincial Parks such as Algonquin have yurts & backcountry cabins available.  I know some of the cabins are accessable by canoe only but some,  such as Rainlake, are right at the access point.  They are pricey, though.

Sorry to dissappoint you but there are no hot springs in Eastern Canada.

In Quebec you can look at SEPAQ (www.sepaq.com) for information on destination. They are the one responsible for the management of the National Park and other facilities related or near park.

They have tent, hut, yurt, cabin lodge for rent... with access to Alpine Ski, Nordic Ski, Snowshoeing and others activities.

They are on the priced side, but it depend on your budget.

My recommendation:

Eastern part of Quebec
Gite du Mont Albert
Auberge des Chic Chocs

Central Quebec
Grands-jardins National Park
Mont Valin National Park

Western Quebec
Mont Tremblant National Park

On the subject of hot spring, nope not in this part of the country. There some Norwegian Spa  if you want to experience very hot outdoor tub/pool to crazy cold plunge into a frozen river :D
