High Sierra Donates To Breast Cancer Research

High Sierra Sport Company Donates to A Silver Lining Foundation and Susan G. Komen For the Cure Chicagoland Affilitiate: The Company to Support The Third Annual "Dancing With Chicago Celebrities" Benefit.

by: Press Release

Committed to supporting the fundraising efforts to continue breast cancer research, High Sierra Sport Company will donate its ATQ luggage sets to support The Third Annual “Dancing with Chicago Celebrities” A Benefit for Susan G. Komen For the Cure Chicagoland Affilitiate presented by Arthur Murray Dance Centers. The fundraiser event will take place on March 7th, 2008 at The Hyatt Regency Chicago, Crystal Ballroom from 7 – 10:30 p.m.

“Dancing with Chicago Celebrities” is a celebrity dance-off that will feature pairing local personalities with professional dance instructors. An audience of 500 will be at the debut event. All the net proceeds from the event will be donated, which the organizers anticipate will increase substantially versus last year. In addition to the celebrity dance-off, attendees at the event will enjoy food, dancing and a professional floorshow features. The competition will be led by a panel of celebrity judges, led by US Smooth champions and ABC Dancing with the Stars alum, Nick Kosovich.

“It is a great idea to combine such an energetic activity like ballroom dancing, with commendable efforts to fight against breast cancer – both are accomplished through hard work, lots of energy, and genuine commitment,” said Hank Bernbaum, president of High Sierra Sport Company. “We are both honored and truly excited to support this upbeat community event.”

The “Dancing with Chicago Celebrities” event is open to the public and the evening is black-tie optional. For information on the event please visit www.dancingwithchicagocelebrities.org or for information on purchasing tickets, call the Arthur Murray studio in Chicago at (312) 644-7554 for information.

Hello
I am contacting you as a breast cancer survivor, hoping you can help make all post-mastectomy women’s lives more comfortable.
Following my own mastectomy I was completely frustrated by the total lack of comfortable, functional clothing that fit my needs as a breast cancer survivor.
Any woman who has had a mastectomy soon realizes that all sense of fashionable comfort is gone forever.
Either you’re wearing “the prosthesis” and are physically uncomfortable or you’re not wearing “the prosthesis” and are uncomfortable with your appearance.
My name is Anja Mullins, founder and CEO of Ann Jacqueline Design. I had an idea for a simple, attractive, one-piece garment that would eliminate the need to wear a post-mastectomy prosthesis.
Today my company, Ann Jacqueline Design, has developed and is marketing an innovative prosthesis free fashion line specifically for women who have had a single or double mastectomy.
Post mastectomy women no longer need to contend with the discomfort of wearing a bulky, heavy prosthesis that shifts within the pocket of the bra.
Women may now choose to wear a lightweight, pull-over, one piece prosthesis free, fashionable garment that can be worn in any social setting.
More than 200,000 women in the U.S. are stricken with breast cancer each year and there are more than 2,000,000 breast cancer survivors in the United States alone.
My company is tailored to the specific needs of these women.
Please assist me to publicize and promote our Unique “Fashion for post mastectomy women “to benefit every US lady in need.
I am very much interested in you opinion and skills and celebrity status to address our enthusiasm.
